For your morning blessings and praise, switch onto Petran’s Garment of Praise in the Morning, heard weekdays starting at 10 a.m. She’s also the host of Saturday’s children’s, Fun With Aunty P. Petran joined ZKING in February 2003 as one of the first members of staff, but she continues to take time out of her busy schedule of running her own computer business, to spread the word of God.

Petran said she likes “everything” about her job, but specifically “to be able to minister to listeners the word of God; to be an encouragement and blessing to those who tune in.”Asked what she admires about ZKING, she said: “Unselfishness! Priority seems to be soul winning rather than money making.”

Her favourite ZKING programme is Unshackled. “It shows how you can triumph in the face of adversity, because the God of these testimonies is still alive and well able to perform the same again and again,” she said, explaining her reason for it being her favourite.Besides being a blessing to many during the week and on the weekend, Petran, as expected, reads the word, pray, and watch TV in her spare time. She’s also an active member of the praise and worship team of the Cane Garden Bay Baptist Church .

Petran’s favourite Bible verse is: Lam 3:37 – Who is he that saith and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?
Explaining the passage, she said: “This assures me that it doesn’t matter what others say about me, I need not worry because God has the last say about everything that concerns me.”
